Internet connectivity in rural areas is going to say, but how to use it is not clear. The condition of many rural areas is that fiber has been delivered there. Computers have also been made available, but now what will be done next, nothing is visible till now.

There is also a project to install WiFi connectivity, but how much profit is received from users, its asset is yet to be done. There are many such rural areas in Jharkhand where optical fibers have been dispatched. Equipments are also available, but the use of the internet is not known to the head. They know that the Internet is coming so that people can be told about the plan.

President Ramamath Kovind has mentioned digital India in his address before the budget. The President has achieved the achievement of Digital India. He said that in 2014 only 59 Gram Panchayats in the country had access to digital connectivity. Today 1 lakh 16 thousand gram panchayats have been connected with optical fiber and about 40 thousand village panchayats have been installed in the wifi hot spots. He has also said that common service centers are increasingly made available to serve the services in the rural areas. Facilities ranging from banking to insurance and pension to scholarships are being provided online in these centers.

According to the President, there were only 84 thousand Common Service Centers in the country in 2014, but now it has increased rapidly and it has more than three lakhs. They said the data were cheap, now people are getting more data at a lower rate. In 2014, where the price of 1 GB data was about Rs 250, it has now reduced to Rs 10-12. Similarly, people used to spend more money talking on mobile, they are now less than half.

In July 2018, PM Modi said that with the Digital India Initiative, 3 lakh jobs have been created in the country and the citizens have become aware. The PM has said that the network of 3 lakh condom service centers has been prepared which is used as the access point of digital service delivery. About Digital India PM Modi says that every aspect of the digital empowerment is working. These include ranging from fiber optics to digital literacy in villages.

Mobile phone users have seen rapid growth. Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had a tweet. According to this, in June 2014 there were 90 million mobile users in India, which has increased to 121 million in March 2018.

Talking about the base, it has also increased fast and now many people have made their base cards. As on March 31, 2017, there has been 120.7 million basis enrollments. In May 2014, the figure was 63.22 crores.

Minister of State for Electronics and IT KJ Alfons has said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha that till 15th February 2018, 89.2 per cent of the people in the country have been issued the basis.

Talking about Digital Literacy Campaign (DISHA), it aims to make digital literate at least one out of every family by 2020. 2 lakh 50 thousand gram panchayats have to connect to wifi and provide broadband access.
